Mohamed Abdel-Aty received his doctoral degree in 1995 from the University of California, Davis. Abdel-Aty has served as assistant, associate and full professor at the University of Central Florida, and was formerly the chair of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering for 10 years. He has also served in the capacity of graduate program coordinator for the department.
Abdel-Aty graduated 44 doctoral and 63 master’s students. He has co-authored 445 journal publications.
