Design the cities of tomorrow

Design and develop the cities of tomorrow today with the Graduate Certificate in Smart Cities from UCF. The program focuses on sustainable materials, intelligent transportation systems, advanced air quality monitoring and other components of a smart city. 

The certificate is designed for students with a background in civil engineering or a related discipline and allows you to take courses of interest to you.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • UCF is consistently ranked among the top schools for civil engineering graduate education by U.S. News and World Report.
  • UCF is located near major civil engineering organizations such as Harris Engineers, WGI and McLaren.
  • The program is supported by the Future City initiative. 

CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM ADMISSIONS

The Grad Certificate in Smart Cities requires 9 credit hours beyond the bachelor’s degree. There are no additional requirements for admission into the certificate program beyond admission to UCF. 

Students are allowed the flexibility to choose three courses from a list of selected engineering classes.
