Zhaomiao Guo is an assistant professor within the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering and is affiliated with the Resilient, Intelligent, and Sustainable Energy Systems (RISES) Cluster at UCF. Guo received his bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University, his master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his doctoral degree in transportation system engineering from the University of California, Davis. Guo’s research centers around resilient and intelligent critical infrastructure systems, with a specific emphasis on the coupled transportation and energy systems with emerging technologies such as electric vehicles, ride sharing, renewable distributed energy resources, etc. His scholarly endeavors have garnered support from esteemed organizations including the U.S. National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Transportation University Transportation Centers, and the Florida Department of Transportation. Notably, he received the NSF CAREER Award in 2023.
