The Air Quality Lab is one of several Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering facilities at the University of Central Florida.

 

Headed by Dr. C. David Cooper, the lab personnel include undergraduate students, graduate students and full-time researchers. With funding provided by federal, state and commercial sources, the lab is dedicated to all aspects of air quality research including the development of new methods to reduce point source emissions, the investigation of transportation-related air quality issues and modeling the dispersion of air pollution in microscale environments.

 

A major part of the research effort at UCF includes the development of computer software to model point and mobile source emission characteristics and atmospheric dispersion. The lab houses air quality monitoring and sampling equipment, and the latest computer and software development tools.
